This puppy is just one in a series of seven first editions currently in our household. The puppies are available in two 2-tone colours; black & tan or chocolate & tan. They are about 2 months old and will be getting their shots in the next few days. They are Rottweiler/Doberman crosses and the owner (they do not belong to us) wants $100 per pup. At least five are earmarked for sale already, leaving 2 without homes so far (our vet is looking for homes for them too, so there is a chance they all have homes already). They will not be leaving their mother until they reach 3 months - which is around late October.

Thanks acolyte, they are amazing, but they’re eating us out of house and home and they’re not even ours! Glad you didn’t post that you wanted one - as soon as I put this up, our wayward vet turned up and said he wants 4 pups. We haven’t actually got enough pups to go around!
Actually, it turned out alright, the vet wanted only males, but we have two, the other five are bitches. Not sure why he wants dogs actually, I’ve always found that females make better petsand better guard dogs.
Yikes. The puppies were due their final injections today before they go off, one by one to their new homes. Unfortunately, two of them had a fight in the night, leaving one female seriously injured:(
She’s at the vet’s now having some work done to save her eye - it was very badly damaged. On the plus side - if there is one, I think I’ve found an excuse to persuade Hannah to keep one of the pups as a house pet. After all, no one will buy a one eyed dog…
I’ll post an update here once the vet’s final prognosis is delivered.

For any other readers, three of these puppies went to good homes, unfortunately the rest all passed away. Despite paying for all the vaccinations they required, they managed to pick up some sort of virus from their parents. You can read most of the story here.
One of the puppies had left by then for a new home, but the others were not strong enough to cope. This included the puppy we had decided to keep which Tommy had named Biscuit as well as the puppy our gardener kept which he named Sharon.
Explaining all this to our three year old was very difficult at the time, so I rather left this thread alone as I didn’t want to go back to it. It’s great to see that so many people have enjoyed this photograph - they were a very good bunch of pups and they are missed.
